Verdant Impact Raises $3 Million Seed Funding to Scale AI-Based Livestock Tech
Agri-tech startup Verdant Impact has secured $3 million in seed funding to expand its artificial intelligence-driven solutions designed for livestock management and bovine genetics. The new investment will help the company strengthen its technology platforms and extend its presence across new regions in India.
Investment Led by Unicorn India Ventures
The funding round was led by Unicorn India Ventures, with additional participation from Infynyte Club and individual investors including Yash Kotak, Alok Soni, and a-IDEA NAARM.
According to the company, the newly raised capital will be used to expand its workforce, enhance technological capabilities, and scale operations across North and North-East India over the next 12 to 18 months.
A portion of the funds will also support research and development efforts, improvements to the company’s flagship platform Pashu.AI, and upgrades to its infrastructure, including the integration of blockchain-based systems.
AI and IoT Solutions for Livestock Management
Verdant Impact has recently introduced two technology-driven products aimed at transforming livestock management practices.
- Pashu AI: An artificial intelligence platform designed to monitor livestock health, track genetic diversity, and support farmers with efficient herd management.
- Bharat Pashudhan: An IoT-enabled device that allows real-time monitoring of animal health and overall herd performance.
Founder and CEO Manish Kumar stated that the fresh funding will help accelerate the company’s mission to provide technology-based solutions that improve livestock productivity and sustainability for farmers.
He also revealed that the startup has recorded eight-fold revenue growth while maintaining profitability, reflecting strong demand for advanced livestock management tools.
Strong Market Opportunity
Since its previous funding round in March 2025, Verdant Impact has reported significant business growth and aims to achieve ₹100 crore in revenue by March 2026.
The company also said that its solutions have already reached over 600,000 farmers, demonstrating the growing adoption of digital tools in the agriculture and livestock sectors.
Commenting on the investment, Anil Joshi highlighted the increasing impact of climate change on global food systems, including livestock production. He emphasized that technologies such as AI and IoT-based monitoring systems could play a crucial role in improving animal health and boosting milk productivity.
